India Schneider-Crease discusses gelada monkeys on Ethiopian news

India Schneider-Crease, a doctoral candidate in the Nunn Lab, spent most of her summer in the field in Ethiopia studying the parasites of gelada monkeys. While there, she advised local agencies on how to reduce disease transmission between humans and wildlife. India also spoke frequently about the conservation of geladas, particularly the importance of not conflating geladas and baboons. In a video broadcast on an Ethiopian news station, India discusses her work and emphasizes that geladas are threatened by the unwarranted fear and hostility resulting from their frequent confusion with baboons.
